| | Thank you to those of you who have offered kind and encouraging words in response to Friday's events. We have all drawn a great deal of strength from the outpouring of love and concern shown to us. In an effort to keep a lot of people updated, I'll post notes here as I have the chance. Yesterday (Saturday) brought a great deal of good news and tiny bit of news that made me raise my left eyebrow ;) Most of the prelim diagnostic tests have been favorable. There is no permanent effect (that we are able to tell) from the stroke and she has been up and about most of the day today. She was moved from the ICU to 2 North (stroke unit) and is enjoying a nice room with a little less activity than the hustle and bustle normal to ICU. I was fully convinced that she would be coming home today, but this morning I learned that she had some significant heart rhythm issues last night. So now she's a cardiology patient (haha- there is a great deal of irony in this!) and will be having a procedure tomorrow afternoon. We are hopeful that tomorrow will be discharge day and are looking forward to having Kylie's "ma" home again! Again, thank you for the way all of you have cared for us through this. We covet your continued prayers in the days ahead. Until next time.... |
